Aim for a cure! Do it for your family. Do it for yourself.

The Prostate Club for Men was started to help increase early detection of prostate cancer.

Finding cancer early dramatically increases your chance of surviving the disease – around 90% of men diagnosed with early-stage prostate cancer are cured. It is our hope that through the Prostate Club, more men will “aim for a cure” with early detection tests.

As a Prostate Club member, you will be making a commitment to discuss the cancer with your doctor, and, if deemed appropriate for you, get tested with both a PSA test and digital rectal exam (DRE). It’s quick and simple, and it could save your life.

The Prostate Club is also meant to encourage open dialogue about prostate cancer. What greater impact could you have on someone’s life than to inform them about a life-saving screening test? Now that you are informed, spread the word to your friends and family.

PSA AND DRE

I need some advice. With my yearly came a PSA AND DRE. My PSA WENT FROM 1.1 TO 3.1.I then was sent to a Uroligist. He asked me if I knew why I was sent to him and I told him yes , that my PSA went up almost 3 times it's score in a year. He then spoke
to me about what is done in cases like mine. One a bladder test and two a biopsy. He then did a DRE and told me that my Prostate was soft and smooth but a little enlarged which is normal in a 58 year old man.I am bipolor take drugs like Seroquel and the like. Have been on a diet and exersise program for over a year now have lost more than 50 pounds.I go for my bladder test at the end of the month. The follow up with the Uroligist is not until March 28, which seems to be a very long time. Should I seek another opinon. My head is spinning.
